Data Description: This data set is a log of any instance that causes a delay within the streetcar system where a streetcar is physically blocked from moving. A blockage is defined as any delay that exceeds 2 minutes and is not caused due to heavy traffic. While blockages can occur at any point along the track, the data is tracked by location at the intersection or mid-block.

Data Description: Emergency Communications Center Calls are records captured for each call. The call data does not contain the nature of the emergency or dispatched resources. For dispatch data reference Police Calls for Service (CAD) or Cincinnati Fire Incidents (CAD).

Data Creation: This dataset includes both emergency (911) and administrative calls to the center. To obtain just emergency (911) calls filter for Call Type = 911.

Data Created By: The source of this data is the City of Cincinnati's Call System that was provided by Cincinnati Bell.

Refresh Frequency: This dataset contains calls from January 1, 2013 through December 14, 2017. On December 14, 2017 the Emergency Call Center transferred to a new phone system and the remainder of 2017 was captured in that system. Additionally, for a portion of 2014, around May, operations were temporarily transferred to the back-up location and call records were not captured.

Data Description: In July 2018, the City of Cincinnati launched an emergency communication tool, Smart911, that provides 9-1-1 call takers and first responders with additional critical information about participating residents. This technology helps reduce response times and provide first responders with vital information that can help improve incident outcomes. Through Smart911, residents can create a secure “Safety Profile” that will automatically display to emergency call takers immediately upon placing a 9-1-1 call. When a call comes in, a call taker will see a user’s Safety Profile as well as a Facility Profile about their current location. Data Description: The National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) is a reporting standard that fire departments nationwide use to uniformly report on the full range of fire department activities. This dataset encompasses all fire incidents reported to NFIRS that were responded to by the Cincinnati Fire Department in the year 2017.

Data Creation: NFIRS was created in 1976 to address the United State’s fire problem and is jointly managed by the U.S Fire Administration (USFA) and the National Fire Information Council (NFIC). Over the life of the system, all 50 states, more than 40 major metropolitan areas, and more than 15,000 fire departments have participated in NFIRS.
